Shimmering lochs and sweeping glens, we’re off to explore the wild wilderness of Bonnie Scotland!
Fall in love with the landscape on a leisurely cruise on the spectacular Loch Long & Loch Goil; the centrepiece of this fantastic five day break. Other highlights include a visit to Oban, Scotland's seafood capital. You’ll be based in peaceful Dunoon, where you can enjoy a stroll along the promenade, explore the historic pier and gardens, or simply sit back and watch the ever-changing seascape.
Two Lochs Cruise - Half Day - a spectacular cruise exploring the sheltered waters of Loch Long and Loch Goil.
First we travel to Blairmore Pier on the outskirts of Dunoon to board the Clyde Cruiser. Experience the natural scenic beauty of the area as we sail into the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Enjoy the views of quaint lochside villages and steeply sided mountains forest clad from sea to summit. There will even be the chance to spot some of the unique wildlife, such as porpoises and dolphins that are not unusual in these waters. Sit back, relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere from the promenade deck.
Inveraray - Half Day - to this beautiful Georgian town, on the banks of Loch Fyne.
This eighteenth-century white walled town is in an area of spectacular natural beauty and gives visitors the chance to explore its glorious coastline with glimpses of its unique wildlife. Visit the award winning 19th century prison, Inveraray Jail or Inveraray Castle, home of the Duke of Argyll (at your own expense). Explore its craft and gift shops with its vast array of home grown treats.
Loch Lomond Shores - Full Day - to Luss, Balloch and Loch Lomond Shores Visitor Centre.
First on our journey will be a stop at the west shore picture-perfect village of Luss, with its quaint little cottages and old parish, before heading to Balloch, a beautiful village often called the “Gateway to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park”. Afterwards we’ll head to Loch Lomond Shores Visitor Centre - a spectacular visitor destination combining a mixture of leisure and shopping, overlooking majestic scenery.
Isle of Bute - Full Day - exploring the island’s stunning coastline, as well as the seaside town of Rothesay.
First we’ll cross over on the Colintraive Ferry and drive alongside the Kyles of Bute, where sweeping green hills meet plunging blue waters that take your breath away. Afterwards we’ll head to the medieval village of Kingarth, followed by the charming waterside village of Kilchattan Bay and stunning Ardscalpsie Bay. Then on to the delightful waterside town of Rothesay.
Oban - Full Day - to this beautiful bayside town with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and islands.
Journeying through Glen Aray with its sweeping hills, we’ll travel past sprawling Loch Awe, before arriving at Oban, the principal town of Argyll. While here, sample the local produce, visit Oban Distillery (at your own expense), or take a walk up to the impressive McCaig’s Tower. Returning to the hotel, we’ll pass through stunning Glendaruel.
