Excursions

St Boswells, Jedburgh & Kelso - Full Day - exploring the dark history and ancient abbey towns of the Scottish Borders.
First we travel to St Boswells, where the haunting Dryburgh Abbey sits (visit at your own expense), holding secrets of the wars of nobility in its ruins. We’ll then head to Jedburgh, with its breathtaking Abbey, Castle and Mary Queen of Scots Visitor Centre. Wander this award-winning town and learn the stories of historic political conflict. Finally we’ll head to the beautiful market town of Kelso, packed full of fascinating history and ancient sights.

Selkirk & Hawick - Half Day - a stunning scenic journey through these picturesque border towns.
First to the ancient and Royal Burgh of Selkirk, long associated with the famous writer Walter Scott. Then on to the historic town of Hawick, Scotland’s Heritage Capital, where there are beautifully quaint cafes and famous mill shops to explore. Returning to Melrose, we’ll have time to enjoy this picturesque town, wandering the ruins of the historic Melrose Abbey (at your own expense).

Borders Railway & Edinburgh - Full Day – travelling to Edinburgh through the meandering hills, rugged landscapes and market towns of the Borders on the Waverley Route Line.
Boarding at Tweedbank and journeying through the romantic countryside of Sir Walter Scott to Edinburgh. All you have to do is sit back, relax and delight in the journey as we relive the past and gaze at the present, travelling through many years of history. Arriving at the capital, with time to explore its medieval streets, first class shopping , numerous galleries and museums, all set against the stunning backdrop of the impressive castle.
