Two bays divided by a headland and the ruins of Scarborough Castle sit in front of this exciting town boasting a host of things to see and do. The perfect place from which to explore the wonders of this fantastic county.
York - Full Day - an ancient city so easy to fall in love with, York is a classic English treat.
A medley of cobbled streets, romantic atmosphere and fantastic history that pulls you in from the moment you arrive. Visit the iconic cultural and religious building that is York Minster (at your own expense), with its roots in the 7th century! Wander round the city walls, the most expansive medieval walls in the whole of England.
Whitby - Full Day - a charming little fishing town.
A beautiful little town with fantastic history, charming tearooms and quirky shops to browse, Whitby is the ideal place to relax and take time out from the hustle and bustle. Admire the ruins of St Hilda's Abbey, uncover the stories of the famous Dracula and the 199 steps or simply enjoy the laid back charm of this quaint corner. We continue on through the North York Moors stopping at Goathland and Pickering.
The Wolds - Full Day - delight in the beauty of the East Yorkshire Coast as we journey to the charming towns of Bridlington and Beverley.
We'll wind our way along the coast to Bridlington, a lovely old town with a wide flat promenade and a busy little harbour to admire. Afterwards, we'll visit the medieval market town of Beverley with its narrow streets and interesting history, perhaps stopping to take in the 13th Century Minster.
Thornton-le-Dale - Half Day - to the quintessential English villages full of history and charm.
Thornton is a typical chocolate box scene with pretty cottages and old world charm, with plenty attractions. If you prefer something a bit more relaxed, wander around the quaint shops or enjoy a cream tea in one of the many tearooms. Afterwards, we will visit the old market town of Pickering, situated on the edge of the stunning North York Moors National Park.
Malton & Helmsley - Half Day - explore these delightful Yorkshire market towns.
First to the pretty town of Malton, nestled on the bank of the flowing River Derwent. Wander the cobbled streets or visit a quaint coffee shop. Afterwards we travel to Helmsley, with its bustling market square and dramatic castle ruins.
