Coronavirus (COVID-19) update 24.03
At David Urquhart Travel the health and safety of our customers and employees is and always will be our top priority. We are following the advice of the UK Government in regard to the Coronavirus outbreak and after review of the current circumstances we have now added some information to our advice last updated to you.
Following the lockdown announcement on Monday 23rd, our head office is now closed until further notice . We have some skeleton staff who will be working hard from home and they will be working on the cancellation notice that we issued on 18th March explaining we have closed our Hotels and cancelled tour departures between 18/03/20 and 30/04/20.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of emails, and we politely ask that you await our communication and urge you not to contact us where possible if in relation to an existing booking.
Our home working staff will try to contact all customers affected, in the order of their departure date, to discuss any alternative travel arrangements with you and to give you the opportunity to rebook your holiday for a future alternative date. Please note that to protect all customer pre-payments these monies received are automatically deposited in a Secure Trustee Account controlled by an Independent Trustee Legal Firm , who are professional people accepting obligation for controlling this Account solely in our customers' interest. We appreciate that you may have had some concerns but please be assured that your funds are not at risk.
During this challenging time, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers who have been affected by this exceptional situation. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding and your continued support of David Urquhart Travel. We look forward to returning to normal operations as soon as this crisis is over and welcoming you back on our wonderful tours throughout Britain and Ireland.
