Described by Charles Dickens as "..the finest place in the universe" today
Great Yarmouth is East Anglia's top seaside venue. Set on 15 miles of wide,
flat golden sand with sunny dry weather and a lively promenade, it offers a
huge range of entertainment, sports and shopping. There are two piers, a
Model Village, Butterfly Centre and a Sea Life Centre.
Stroll along the prom or catch the unique horse-drawn landaus. At night the
resort is illuminated and renowned for its live entertainment with a wide
variety of shows and concerts.
The main shopping streets, found just off the ancient harbour, offer high
street stores and traditional seaside shops; there is excellent variety and
quality to keep shoppers happy. There is a large open air market on Fridays.
